FAQs

Here are my most frequently asked questions. Reach out by phone or email for answers to more specific questions

I specialize in Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT) for couples, and psychodynamic/object relations approaches for individual therapy. These methods focus on understanding deep relational patterns and building a strong foundation for authentic connections. PACT combines neuroscience, attachment theory, and arousal regulation, while the psychodynamic/object relations approach helps clients work through complex emotional and relational challenges.

Currently, I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept Medicaid. Some insurance plans may reimburse a portion of therapy fees for out-of-network providers. I am happy to provide a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I encourage you to check with your provider regarding out-of-network mental health coverage.

Individual sessions are 50 minutes in length. PACT sessions are one hour and 50 minutes (110 minutes) for couples to allow for deeper exploration and working through issues.

In the first session, we will explore your goals, discuss your background, and review any current challenges

The recommended frequency depends on the type of therapy:

Individuals: Weekly 50-minute sessions provide consistency and momentum for meaningful progress.

Couples: Sessions are 110 minutes and take place every other week to allow time to practice new skill and integrate insights between meetings.

These schedules are designed to ensure you get the most out of your therapy experience.

Yes, I work with both individuals and couples. For individual therapy, I use a psychodynamic approach to address relational trauma, personality development, and emotional growth. For couples, I specialize in PACT, a method that supports couples in building a secure and resilient relationship.

I work with clients navigating a range of issues, including relationship challenges, attachment and trust issues, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, self-worth, and trauma. My approach is particularly suited for individuals seeking to deepen their relational awareness and couples looking to enhance their connection.

PACT is a unique approach that combines attachment theory, neuroscience, and arousal regulation to help couples develop a deeper understanding of each other’s emotional responses. This approach emphasizes creating a secure, connected, and mutually supportive relationship through experiential exercises and guided interactions.

If you are looking to understand and transform long-standing relational patterns, build self-awareness, and cultivate healthy attachment in relationships, then the PACT or Psychodynamic approach may be a great fit. Our initial consultation can help you determine if my approach aligns with your needs.

I do not offer sliding scale options at this time. For information about my fees, please contact me directly. I’d be happy to provide details and answer any questions you may have.
